Dr Ronnie Yap graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992. He has been honoured and priviledged to be awarded both the FAC Ohlers Gold Medal for being the Best Clinical Student, as well as the University Silver Medal for the Best Student of that graduating year.
Dr Yap is currently an adjunct lecturer with the National University of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Dr Yap is also a Diplomate of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (GDPRCS).
It is Dr Yap's priority keep abreast of dental techniques and technologies with continuing education, to ensure that his patients receive the best possible dental care available. Dr Yap has undergone advanced training from the world's premier post-graduate dental teaching center - the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies and he travels at least once a year to the US or Europe for post-graduate studies. He is extensively trained and skilled in restorative, cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry. Dr Yap has a keen interest in the 'bite' or occlusion. This has led to many successful and non-invasive treatments of TMJ sufferers with chronic headaches and neck and shoulder pain.
Dr. Yap and his partner are the few pioneering dentists in Singapore to be a laser and Invisalign certified provider. In addition they serve as opinion leaders in South East Asis for Dentsply Friadent XiVE dental Implant system. Together, they continue to push the envelope of dental advancement in Singapore and the region.
Dr Yap is a member in good standing with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the world's largest organistion dedicated specifically to cosmetic dentistry. Dr Yap is also member of the Aesthetic Society of Singapore, the Headache Society of Singapore and the Singapore Dental Association. A firm believer of continuing education, he has been actively organising professional education courses for dentists locally.
When he is not hard at work creating beautiful smiles, Dr Yap enjoys travelling, out-door activities and and spending time with his family and friends.
