  • Fewer dentist appointments.

START SMILING WITH Invisalign

Invisalign® is a gentle corrective procedure that lets your doctor control exactly how your teeth will be realigned throughout treatment and there are no painful and unsightly wires involved. Invisalign uses a set of custom-fitted aligners that fit over your teeth, and aligner sets are changed on a weekly basis.

Unlike old braces and retainers, Invisalign aligners are flexible, smooth, and nearly invisible which means they free you from the painful periodic tightening needed for metal braces. These custom aligners move your teeth into proper position gently and gradually which means you no longer have to put up with wires cutting into sensitive mouth tissue, getting food in your braces and foul odour from hardware that can’t be cleaned.

START YOUNG WITH Invisalign First

Invisalign First clear aligner treatment is designed for predictable results and a positive experience while addressing the unique needs of growing children. As a child grows, their smile grows with them. And even with baby teeth, it may be time for children aged 6 to 10 to start orthodontic treatment. This is known as Phase 1 treatment. The goal of Phase 1 treatment is to develop young jaws and/or arches to make room for existing teeth and for incoming permanent teeth.

  1. Can prevent pre-existing bite issues from getting worse
  2. Can fix existing teeth-straightening conditions
  3. Can improve the appearance of a growing child’s smile
  4. Can make Phase 2 treatment shorter and easier

Invisalign treatment with Mandibular Advancement

A two in one treatment for more complex cases. Invisalign treatment with mandibular advancement is meant for tweens and teens presenting with retrognathic Class II malocclusions in permanent dentition or stable late mixed dentition. The special precision wings feature is are integrated into the Invisalign aligners.

WHY INVISALIGN CLEAR ALIGNERS WITH MANDIBULAR ADVANCEMENT?

  • Straighten teeth
  • Precision wings move the lower jaw forward to improve the bite
  • Deliver results your patients demand

Each smile is unique and presents its challenges, but in most cases, our smile designers can design a quickened treatment program that yields a significant and noticeable improvement in your smile.

NON-EXTRACTION

At Orchard Scotts Dental, our dental professionals do everything they can to treat your smile in a minimal invasive manner. What that means for our patients is that, 9 out of 10 times, we don’t remove their pre-molar teeth. Although there are some cases where extraction is unavoidable, we will always do our best to leave you with all the same teeth you had when you first arrived in our office.

FULLY AIDED BY TECHNOLOGY

You also have the benefit of adequate equipment when you take your smile to Orchard Scotts Dental. Orchard Scotts Dental has adopted the iTero intra-oral scanner. This scanner, instead of using traditional moulds, takes a digital picture of your teeth which gives our dental professionals an HD image of your smile – this can be used to fit your aligner accurately.

Statistics show that nearly 70 per cent of children exhibit the signs of an overbite, which turns it into one of the most common orthodontic problems. An overbite is characterised by the upper teeth being too far in front of the bottom teeth. Invisalign can easily fix the issue to ensure a proper fit and reduce the risk of dental problems down the line.

The opposite of an overbite, an underbite has the bottom teeth being in front of the top ones. Underbites often cause extensive tooth wear and even speech issues. Through the use of Invisalign, the bottom teeth can be pushed back until they reach an anatomically-correct position.

It is possible for some upper teeth to sit in front of the lower ones and for some to fall behind when your mouth is closed. This problem is called crossbite and it can contribute to both tooth wear and gum problems. Individual incorrectly positioned teeth can be aligned properly with the others through the use of Invisalign.

Having a gap in the middle of your upper teeth is often considered charming but such gaps can contribute to food getting stuck there and being difficult to clean. Eventually, gum issues will follow. A gap can be closed effortlessly through the use of Invisalign, contributing to significant dental health improvements.

When your upper and lower teeth don’t meet if your mouth is closed, you can conclude confidently that you are dealing with an open bite. Open bite is quite common among children who do excessive thumb sucking and it can contribute to rapid tooth wear and speech issues. The upper and lower teeth can both be moved into correct position for appropriate closure through the use of Invisalign.

If there isn’t enough jaw room for all the existing teeth, they can become twisted and start overlapping. Aside from not being aesthetically-pleasing, crowded teeth often cause tartar and plaque build-ups in places that are difficult to reach. Depending on the extensiveness of the problem, Invisalign can be utilised to move teeth to their correct spots.

Invisalign can be used on baby teeth, permanent teeth or a mix of the two. Depending on the current situation, our dentists will work out a plan to give you the best possible outcome. It is never too early (or too late) to give proper teeth alignment with Invisalign a try.

If you are not happy with the alignment of your teeth and you want them to be straighter, consider an Invisalign intervention. Getting your teeth to be better aligned is one of the easiest goals to accomplish with these invisible aligners.

INVISALIGN FAQ

The clear aligners do a similar job to the traditional metal braces (but they’re transparent and much more comfortable). The aim of the aligners is to gently put force on the teeth so that the alignment of one or more is changed. Each aligner is designed specifically for the patient and to address their particular problem area. Depending on the progress being made, aligners will have to be changed every few weeks to continue getting teeth into the actual position that they need to be in.

Wearing Invisalign aligners correctly is probably the most important factor for the effectiveness of your treatment. As per general recommendations, you have to wear aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day. You can take the aligners off to eat, drink and have them properly cleaned. When done, however, do put the aligners back on. Also, keep in mind that the use of a retainer after you’re done with your aligner is an essential to help your teeth maintain the brand new position.

The short answer is no. Some people could experience a bit of discomfort over the first few days of each treatment stage. This is normal. The feeling, however, isn’t painful – most people describe it as pressure. This pressure means that your Invisalign aligners are doing their job and getting teeth closer to their correct position.

Yes! In fact, dentists who with Invisalign in Singapore often get such cases.

A medical-grade thermoplastic material is used to give you custom aligners that are precisely shaped for your mouth and for the specifics of the problem you’re attempting to address.
