Dental Implants

Replacement teeth that look natural, bite well, and last.

  • Natural looking
  • Bite well, built right
  • Last decades

Non-negotiable: planned implants, not just placed

Dental implants replace what's missing — but how they're planned determines whether they look natural, bite properly, and last.

Across 19 years and 3,610+ implant cases, we've learned that placement decisions made on day one are what matter at year ten.

That's why every implant at OSD is:

  • 3D-planned
  • Surgically guided
  • Crowns crafted on-site

This means taking extra care and not going for surgical convenience. This approach takes longer — but it's the difference between simple replacement and smile integration.

If this matters to you, then how the implant is done becomes important.

19+ years and 4,200 smiles transformed have taught us that implants aren't just functional replacements — they should look as good as they work.

Natural looking

The goal — implants that disappear into your smile

18-point smile analysis

We assess your smile across 18 points — individual tooth proportions, how teeth relate to each other, and how the crown should emerge from the gum.

This framework guides positioning so the implant looks like it belongs there, not like something was added.

Colour matched in person

Your crown is handcrafted on-site by our ceramist, who sees your teeth directly. Shade, surface texture, translucency are details that they look for.

The result is colour that sits naturally against the rest — not a crown that stands out.

Bite well. Built right.

The position of your implant determines everything — proper bite, natural appearance, and long-term stability. We plan around where the tooth should be, not surgical convenience:

3D Imaging

3D dental scan showing upper teeth and jaw structure with a focus on a specific tooth marked with the number 7.

We map bone density, nerve pathways, and surrounding structures. This is the foundation for everything.

Digital planning

Dental X-ray showing upper teeth roots with a green digital overlay of an implant placement.

We determine exactly where your tooth needs to sit — for proper function and natural aesthetics.

Foundation assessment

Close-up of a person's mouth showing missing upper front tooth and surrounding natural teeth.

When a tooth has been missing for months or years, bone and gum tissue recede.

We rebuild the foundation first — grafting bone and tissue so the implant can be positioned where it should be, not just where there's room.

Surgical guide

The planned position is translated into a precision guide that directs placement during surgery.

No estimation — the thinking is done beforehand.

Designed to last decades

While modern implants are proven to last, the bigger variable is peri-implantitis — infection around the implant that causes bone loss over time. It's the most common reason implants fail years later, and most patients have never heard of it.

We design against it from day one:

  • Adequate gum tissue creates a protective seal around the implant
  • Correct positioning makes daily cleaning effective
  • Solid bone foundation prevents the gradual bone loss that leads to infection

Problems that appear five or ten years later were often caused by decisions made at placement.

Immediate implantation

Planning an implant? If the tooth is still there — even if it's failing — how and when we remove it affects your outcome.

Same-day extraction and implant placement preserves the bone and gum tissue that would otherwise shrink while you wait.

For front teeth especially, this often means a more natural-looking result.

All-on-X

Close-up of a middle-aged Asian man smiling and touching his cheek while looking in the mirror.

Missing most or all of your teeth? All-on-X gives you a fixed set of teeth — not a removable denture — supported by four to six implants.

The bridge is secured to a titanium bar that spans the implants — strong, stable, and designed to distribute bite forces evenly. Your bridge is crafted on-site by our ceramist, who works directly with your dentist to get the shape, shade, and fit right.

Our approach

All-on-X can be delivered quickly. Our focus is different: we prioritise getting the bite position right before surgery, so the final result functions comfortably for decades.

Metal-free alternatives

Zirconia implants

For patients with metal sensitivities — or those who prefer a metal-free option — zirconia implants offer an alternative to titanium.

The tooth-coloured material means no risk of grey showing through thin gums (matters most for front teeth). Zirconia also integrates well with gum tissue, often with excellent soft tissue response.

Titanium remains the more versatile option for most cases. We'll recommend based on your specific situation.

Treatment options for Dental Implants

Straumann Titanium implants

From $4,905*

The gold standard in implant dentistry.

Straumann is what we use for most cases — decades of clinical research, excellent long-term data, and a lifetime guarantee on the implant itself. Their SLActive® surface promotes faster healing.

*MediSave claimable: $1,120 per implant surgery, for eligible Singaporeans/PRs with sufficient MediSave balance. Subject to CPF Board approval.

Front teeth

Front teeth show when you smile. They need to look right, sit right with your face, and bite properly — which takes more planning than back teeth.

Includes:

  • Straumann Titanium implant
  • 18-point smile analysis
  • Bite integration
  • Dental implant surgery
  • Porcelain crown
  • In-house ceramist
  • Straumann Lifetime Guarantee

Back teeth

Back teeth are about function — chewing, durability, and a bite that holds up over years.

Includes:

  • Straumann Titanium implant
  • Bite integration
  • Dental implant surgery
  • Porcelain crown
  • In-house ceramist
  • Straumann Lifetime Guarantee

Zirconia (Neodent) implants

From $5,995*

Metal-free alternative to titanium. The tooth-coloured material means no grey showing through thin gums — which matters most for front teeth or if you have thin tissue.

*MediSave claimable: $1,120 per implant surgery, for eligible Singaporeans/PRs with sufficient MediSave balance. Subject to CPF Board approval.

Front teeth

Best for thin gum tissue or metal-free preference. No grey showing through where it's visible.

Includes:

  • Neodent Zirconia implant
  • 18-point smile analysis
  • Bite integration
  • Dental implant surgery
  • Porcelain crown
  • In-house ceramist

Back teeth

Metal-free option for back teeth. Less flexible in positioning than titanium, but works well if you prefer ceramic throughout.

Includes:

  • Neodent Zirconia implant
  • Bite integration
  • Dental implant surgery
  • Porcelain crown
  • In-house ceramist

All-On-X

From $18,000*

Full-arch replacement supported by four to six implants — a fixed bridge, not a removable denture.

Most patients leave with a functional temporary set the same day. The final bridge is placed once healing is complete.

*MediSave claimable: $1,120 per implant surgery, for eligible Singaporeans/PRs with sufficient MediSave balance. Subject to CPF Board approval.

All-on-X

Bridge material options:

  • Acrylic — Lighter, and chips can often be repaired in a single visit. Lower cost.
  • Zirconia — Stronger, more natural appearance. Higher cost.

Includes:

  • Titanium bar
  • 18-point smile analysis
  • Bite integration
  • Dental implant surgery
  • In-house ceramist

Bone grafting (if required)

When bone density is insufficient for implant placement, grafting rebuilds the jawbone to provide stable foundation.

This preliminary procedure ensures long-term implant success and is performed before implant placement.

Frequently asked questions

How much do dental implants cost in Singapore?

At OSD, a single Straumann titanium implant starts from $4,905 and a zirconia implant from $5,995. This includes the implant, surgery, porcelain crown, and our in-house ceramist — not just the fixture.

All-on-X full-arch replacements start from $18,000. Costs vary depending on whether bone grafting or additional procedures are needed, which we assess during consultation.

For a detailed breakdown based on your situation, WhatsApp our Concierge Manager Joreen.

Can I use MediSave for dental implants?

Yes. Eligible Singaporeans and PRs can claim up to $1,120 per implant surgery from MediSave, subject to sufficient balance and CPF Board approval. This applies to each implant placed — so if you need two implants, you can claim for both.

MediSave covers the surgical component; the crown and other costs are out-of-pocket or can be spread across our flexi-payment plan.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients report minimal discomfort.

Local anaesthesia ensures you feel no pain during placement, and post-operative discomfort is typically manageable with standard pain relief.

Sedation is available for anxious patients.

What happens during recovery after implant surgery?

Most patients return to normal activities within a day or two. Some swelling and mild discomfort is typical for the first 48–72 hours, manageable with standard pain relief. We provide detailed aftercare instructions and check in during healing.

The implant integrates with your bone over 3–4 months before the final crown is placed. During this time, a temporary restoration keeps things functional and presentable.

What are the risks of dental implants?

The most significant long-term risk is peri-implantitis — infection around the implant that causes bone loss over time. It's the most common reason implants fail years later, and most patients have never heard of it.

We design against it from day one: adequate gum tissue for a protective seal, correct positioning for effective cleaning, and solid bone foundation to prevent gradual loss.

Short-term surgical risks are low — implants have success rates exceeding 95%.

How long do implants last?

With proper care, dental implants can last decades — often a lifetime.

Straumann provides a lifetime guarantee on their implants, reflecting their confidence in long-term performance.

Do I need bone grafting, and what does it involve?

If a tooth has been missing for months or years, the jawbone where it sat has likely receded. Bone grafting rebuilds that foundation so the implant can be positioned where it should be — not just where there's room.

It's a separate procedure done before implant placement, and adds to the overall timeline and cost. We assess bone density with 3D imaging during your first consultation, so you'll know upfront whether grafting is needed.

Will my implant look natural?

Yes. Our approach considers aesthetics from the start: crown colour, shape, how the crown emerges from the gum, and facial proportions.

Am I suitable for implants?

Most healthy adults are good candidates.

We assess bone density, gum health, medical history, and aesthetic goals during consultation. If bone grafting is needed, we'll discuss that upfront.

What are zirconia implants, and does OSD offer them?

Yes. We use Neodent zirconia implants (from the Straumann Group) for patients who prefer a metal-free option.

Zirconia is tooth-coloured, which means no risk of grey showing through thin gums — this matters most for front teeth. It also integrates well with gum tissue, often with excellent soft tissue response. Zirconia implants start from $5,995, inclusive of surgery, crown, and our in-house ceramist.

Titanium remains more versatile for most cases, but if metal-free matters to you, we'll assess whether zirconia is suitable during consultation.

Titanium or Zirconia — which should I choose?

Titanium implants are proven, versatile, and suitable for most cases.

Zirconia implants are ideal for thin gum tissue, front teeth, metal sensitivities, or patients preferring metal-free options.

Your dentist will recommend based on your specific situation.

Why does OSD use Straumann implants?

Straumann has decades of clinical research, excellent long-term data, and offers a lifetime guarantee on their implants. Their SLActive surface promotes faster bone integration, which matters for healing time and long-term stability.

We're a Straumann Preferred Partner — meaning we work closely with their team on complex cases.

For patients who prefer metal-free options, we use Neodent zirconia implants from the same Straumann Group.

Can I get an implant the same day my tooth is removed?

Sometimes, yes. If the tooth is failing but the surrounding bone is healthy and there's no spreading infection, same-day placement is often possible — and preferable. It preserves bone and tissue, and for front teeth, typically produces a better aesthetic result. We'll assess your case during consultation.

How long does the full process take?

Typically 4–8 months from initial consultation to final crown placement, including healing time. Some cases qualify for faster timelines.

We'll provide a detailed schedule after your assessment.

How do implants compare to bridges or dentures?

Implants don't require damaging healthy adjacent teeth (unlike bridges) and don't slip or require adhesives (unlike dentures).

They also prevent bone loss in the jaw, which occurs with other replacement options.

Are dental implants safe?

Yes. Both Straumann and Neodent implants are supported by extensive clinical research and have success rates exceeding 95%.

They're considered one of the most predictable treatments in modern dentistry.

Who performs implant treatment at OSD?

Dr. Jerry Lim, Dr. Ronnie Yap, Dr. Kenneth Goh, and Dr. Leroy Kiang all perform implant procedures.

Dr. Jerry has placed thousands of implants over 19+ years and trained dentists across Singapore in implant techniques — that same philosophy and standard of care is embedded in how our entire team works.
