About Dr. Jerry
My story
What inspires me most is the ability to take someone from a place of pain or insecurity, and walk with them on a journey towards health, hope, and confidence.
In 2000 I started my own practice together with Dr. Ronnie Yap. From humble beginnings in neighbourhood clinics, we eventually built Orchard Scotts Dental with the vision of creating a patient-centred, transformative dental practice.
Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced training in aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry around the world (from Las Vegas to Europe) and today I share this knowledge as a lecturer and mentor to fellow dentists.
I've spent years teaching dentists how to do veneers well. I've also spent years fixing veneers that were done badly. Both experiences taught me the same thing: getting it right the first time matters. That's why I still teach — raising the standard helps more patients than I could ever treat alone.

Dental visits can feel daunting. My role is to break down concerns — pain, cost, or fear of the unknown — into clear steps so patients feel safe and understood.
Sharing & inspiring
Teaching and mentoring allow me to give back. Guiding other dentists to discover their own style of dentistry is as rewarding as treating patients.
A beautiful smile that doesn't function well isn't really beautiful. And a functional bite that looks wrong will never feel right. You can't separate the two.

Beyond Dentistry
Outside the clinic, you'll find me watching soccer — or talking about it, much to my family's patience.
I value quiet time with the people I care about, and I'm still a student at heart. Reading and learning keep me curious, which I think makes me a better dentist.
